Willow Glen Dining / Lounge

Our challenge in this project was to create a new look for a dining and lounge area in Willow Glen using existing furniture and a mix of eclectic art pieces belonging to the clients. We started by re-upholstering the rattan furniture pieces with Kravet Fabrics’ Soleil basics line, a 100% solution dyed fabric made from Sunbrella acrylic (which is mildew, stain, and water resistant). The ease of maintenance helps to make the area stress free for entertaining and always comfortable for use by the family for eating or relaxing.

To tie the art pieces in with the rest of the living space, we chose a wool broadloop carpet from Unique Carpets and had it custom cut and bound at our showroom to fit the lounge area perfectly. The extra carpet that was left over was refashioned into a matching runner for the kitchen. As a finishing touch, we replaced the old fans with new ones that featured a palm leaf motif.
